Description :: UMD 3.2.0 is the second update of the third Major release of UMD (Unified Middleware Distribution) made available for the EGI production infrastructure. This release contains support for both Scientific Linux 5 and 6 and also Debian 6 (Squeeze).

Accounting:
APEL 2.2.0 released in SL5 and SL6:
- This release provides a security update.
- This is the first release in UMD.
CREAM 1.16.1 released in SL5 and SL6:
- This release implements EMI CANL for authentication and authorization
- This release provides some bugfixes name to the need of services restart after configuring with yaim.
- This is a bugfix release which solves some issues in both glite-info-dynamic-ge and the glite-yaim-ge-utils.
- This release provides some bugfixes to lcmaps, lcmaps-plugins-basic and lcmaps-plugins-voms. Also this version provides a new LCAS-LCMAPS-GT4-Interface version which provides an extra functionality for gsissh and gridftp, allowing LCMAPS to act on the specified desired username.
- This release provides a new version of the EMI-ES and bug fixe for the unicore-config-update.py tool (debian).
- This is the first release in UMD
ARGUS 1.6.1 released in SL5 and SL6:
- This release provides some bug fixes namely the fact that pap-admin ban doesn't convert DN in OpenSSL format to rfc2253.
EMI-UI 3.0.2 released in SL5 and SL6:
- Added dependency on globus-gsi-cert-utils-progs, providing "grid-cert-info".
- This is the first release in UMD.
EMIR 2.0.0 released in SL5 and SL6:
- This is the first release in UMD-3. This release includes both new version of emir-server and emir-serp. From this release there is support for auto-pagination and registration of service endpoints in GLUE 2.0 XML format.
- This release provides bug fixes and a security update
GRIDWAY 5.14.0 release only in SL5:
- This release provies a new driver for the EMI-ES based on an ARC Client plug-in. Several bug fixes are also provided in this release.
- Bug fix release. After update re-run YAIM.QCG Broker 3.0.1 release in SL5:
- This is the first release in UMD
GRIDFTP 5.2.4 released in SL5, SL6 and Debian:
- This released of gridftp among several bug fixes now provides support for default disk and network stacks, setting file modification time and ability (MLSC) to stream directory listings over the control channel.
Storage Management:
DCACHE 2.6.5 released in both Sl5 and Sl6:
- This is first release in UMD-3. Among other new features, this release provides support for certificates with SHA-2 and a new JSON API prototype together with a new command to find out files locality.
VOMS Admin 3.2.0 released in SL5 and SL6:
- This release provides several bug fixes and improvements, in particular for the groups management.
Other:
YAIM-CORE release in SL5 and SL6:
- This release provides a new functionality that config_mkgridmap prevents standard grid-mapfile on both FTS and LFC.
- Bug fix release. Fixed a bug affecting RFC proxies.
- Bug fix release, now dash character is allowed in delegation IDs.

Installation Notes :: All products in the UMD 3.00 release were verified against EGI's current
Quality Criteria (for further information, please see the documentation
links) to support 64 bit Scientific Linux 5 and Scientific Linux 6
(x86_64 processor architecture). Some products are also supported in 64
bit Debian 6 (squeeze). Installation and configuration notes are
available in the EGI repository.
UMD 3.2.0 EGI is introducing a new technology provider QosCosGrid
(QCG), thus in order to install QCG middleware please make sure you
execute 1st:
rpm –import http://www.qoscosgrid.org/qcg-
