Description :: UMD 3.10.0 is the tenth update of the third Major release of UMD (Unified Middleware Distribution) made available for the EGI production infrastructure. This release contains support for Scientific Linux 5.

Release Notes :: This release is dedicated to changes in some of the nagios probes used by the SAM-Nagios monitoring framework. The update is required by and done in concomitence with - "SAM Update 23" - that bring many improvement and bug fixes.

• Starting from CentOS 5.11 probe check_ca_dist started failing. Solution provided in the new package is disabling Nagios embedded Perl.

• Removed check_nmap_tcp probe
• Removed perl-TOM dependency
• perl-gridmon, v. 1.0.73
• provisioned to UMD from the SAM repository
  

Additional Details ::

Installation Notes :: All products in the UMD 3.10.0 release were verified against EGI's current  Quality Criteria (for further information, please see the documentation links) to support 64 bit Scientific Linux 5 (x86_64 processor architecture). Installation and configuration notes are available in the EGI repository.

Change LOG :: This releases includes updates for the nagios-probes of the following services: BDII, CREAM, DesktopGrid & dg.3GBridge, FTS, gLExec-wn, LFC, QCG, MPI, SRM, WMS and to the Grid-Monitoring framework.
