Description :: UMD 3.0 is the third Major release of UMD (Unified Middleware Distribution) made available for the EGI production infrastructure. This release contains support for both Scientific Linux 5 and 6 and also Debian 6 (Squeeze).

- Major release which introduces GLUE 2.0 support, integration with Condor 7.8.0, new DAG engine replacing the previous DAGMAN functionality and also support for RFC proxies.

- GLUE 2.0 LDAP URLs can now be used by both the site and the top BDII. This means that site resources and resources in GOCDB can be defined using their GLUE 2 LDAP URL.

- This release includes multiple bugfixes and implements support for additional security standards including OCSP and SHA2.
- This is an EMI-3 release of GSS/gsoap-plugin. There were only packaging updates. The functionality remains unaffected.
- Major version and this version of APEL Publisher is compatible only with APEL Parsers 2.1.0 and above. Also support SLURM batch system.

Installation Notes :: All products in the UMD 3.00 release were verified against EGI's current Quality Criteria (for further information, please see the documentation links) to support 64 bit Scientific Linux 5 and Scientific Linux 6 (x86_64 processor architecture). Some products are also supported in 64 bit Debian 6 (squeeze). Installation and configuration notes are available in the EGI repository.
