Release: UMD-2.5.0

UMD 2.5.0 is the 7th update of second Major release of UMD (Unified Middleware Distribution) made available for the EGI production infrastructure. This release supports both Scientific Linux 5 and 6 as also Debian 6 (Squeeze).

Monitoring services:
L&B version 3.2.10 released in both SL5 and SL6:
  • This bugfix release of L&B addresses several distinct issues relating to nagios probe customization, proper handling of rarely used authorization roles, and purging of jobs from the L&B Proxy. 
IGE Technology Provider:

GridFTP 5.2.3
  • Released in SL5, SL6 and debian:
  • This release now provides for default disk and network stacks: globus-gridftp-server options -dc-default and -fs-default. It also provides server support for setting file modification tim and the ability (MLSC) to stream directory listings over the control channel.
Interactive Job management
Gsisshterm 1.3.4 
  • Released in SL5, SL6 and debian:
  • This release allow to turn on VOMS support and also add VOMS support when using MyProxy Tool.
Job Execution
  • Released in SL5, SL6 and debian:
  • This release only provides bug Fix.

Installation Notes
All products in the UMD 2.5.0 release were verified against EGI's current Quality Criteria (for further information, please see the documentation links) to support 64 bit Scientific Linux 5 and Scientific Linux 6 (x86_64 processor architecture). Some products are also supported in 64 bit Debian 6 (squeeze).  Installation and configuration notes are available in the EGI repository.
